Built
to let go.
At the heart of GRABS lies a simple but powerful innovation:
A precision-engineered magnetic connection that redefines how poles attach and release.
It’s seamless. Secure when you need it, out of the way when you don’t.
one click, or two
The sound tells you which pole is in your hand...
PRO · two clicks
Magnets top and bottom. The pole holds position against the hand. Open your hand and it stays.
park · one clicks
Top magnet only. Never attached to the hand, so it's light and out of the way until you want it.
pitch · one clicks
A loop, but one that lets go. Adjustable shaft for whatever the day turns into.
the release
Past a set force the connection opens and the pole leaves.
It does not wait for you to decide, and it does not wait for your wrist.
before you ride
Check the strap is seated.
Keep the magnet face clean. Snow and ice on the contact face reduce hold.
Replace a strap that has frayed at the fold.
care
Wipe the magnet face dry after a wet day. Nothing else is required.
Handles, shafts and straps all come off and can be replaced individually. A worn part is a part, not a pole.
Born in Norway - the land of skiing - GRABS is the creation of two minds united by performance and design.
The founders

Birk Ruud is an Olympic Gold Medalist, X Games champion, World Champion, and a pioneer of modern freeskiing. He has spent his career pushing the boundaries of creativity and control, and knows exactly how equipment can unlock or limit what’s possible.
Thomas Bache-Wiig is a Cornell-educated architect and product designer with over 30 years of experience in design and manufacturing. His work blends precision, simplicity, and craftsmanship, transforming Birk’s idea into a piece of functional art.
Together, they’ve reimagined one of skiing’s most overlooked tools, and built something entirely new.
